Landing page redesign, rewriting, and marketing

We are looking for someone to redesign our VPN landing page, do marketing for this page, and head an incentive program relating to this page.

The main goal here is to increase conversions and convince people why they would need a VPN service. This is what it currently looks like: [login to view URL] We're interested in overhauling the whole page, graphics, text, and all. The person we're looking for will have skills and experience in the following: design, marketing, basic tech (you understand what a VPN is).

We would like the following items to be taken care of:

Rewriting copy:

Specifically focusing on why someone would need a VPN service. We're looking for more detail and description in the copy. Our affiliate StrongVPN has a 10 point list that shows the various reasons, but we're not satisfied with just those, we think each point can be elaborated on further. Also, the text should be quick and simple so readers scanning the page can decide within a minute whether or not VPN's are for them. So while we're asking for better descriptions than what we've got, we're also asking for solid brief ones, no drawn out wordy paragraphs or such.

To start, a lot of people don't really know what a VPN service is, that would need to be explained and described in a way that connects to our user's daily lives. Keep in mind the mentality of the types of people visiting our site in the first place, it's an IP reporting site.

We also plan on adding more than one VPN service to the page so it's important to espouse the positive general aspects of using a VPN service rather than a specific one. Keeping that in mind, there should be enough room on the page to promote and compare multiple VPN services.

Redesign the page:

The current layout isn't visually appealing, we would like to see a more cohesive look that can convert more visitors into actual VPN users. It doesn't need to look graphically inline with the rest of the site, but it does need to work better than what we've got now.

Marketing:

We are looking to promote more than one VPN service on this page, as well as run an incentive program for people that sign up through us. The details of the incentive program will be disclosed to the person we select.
